About

Cost intelligence for expensive home decisions.

RemodelCostHub is an independent U.S. homeowner planning publication built around transparent calculators, dated research, and explicit assumptions.

Why these tools exist

Homeowners often find several different national cost figures for the same room. Those figures can describe different project sizes, finish levels and construction scopes. Our aim is to help you define your project, understand those differences and prepare a more useful comparison of contractor proposals.

What we do

We compare current public cost benchmarks, build versioned planning models, and explain where project definitions differ. Our calculators are designed to help homeowners create a realistic planning range before comparing contractor proposals.

What we do not do

We do not present our estimates as contractor bids, engineering opinions, appraisals, permit advice, or guarantees. We do not invent professional credentials, customer projects, or local pricing data.

Where the numbers come from

Each guide links to its published sources. Calculator rates and multipliers are separately identified planning assumptions, not live contractor offers. The methodology page explains a worked example and the limits of the model. We have not yet measured predictive accuracy against a representative set of local bids or completed-project invoices.

How the site is supported

Calculators are free to use without an account or a contact-information form. Advertising is currently disabled. Any future paid placements or affiliate relationships will be disclosed; they will not set the estimate. See the advertising disclosure.
